I'm renting out my apartment from August 2026 onwards.
NOTE: The apartment is currently going through a big renovation and will have a brand new kitchen and bathroom when the work is done in late July.
The location is really good for connections to Leppävaara, Otaniemi, or Helsinki center. I lived here myself when I was working for Aalto University and commuted to Otaniemi daily. The flat is at Perkkaa (Kirjurinkuja 3), about 10 minutes walk from Leppävaara train station. And less than 300m from the tram 15 stop that runs every 6 minutes on weekdays and takes you to Otaniemi in less than 15 minutes.
The nearest grocery shop (K-supermarket Perkkaa) is only 3 min (200m) walk away. And when you need something bigger, the Sello shopping mall is only 10 min walk away (1 km).
The flat has 34,5 square meters, a separate kitchen, and a nice balcony with glass walls facing south. The kitchen will have fridge, a freezer, dishwasher, and a ceramic oven with four cooking plates. (One of the listing image shows the planned new kitchen, others show the old one.)
The bathroom has a shower and a washing machine. Both the kitchen and the bathroom will be brand new as they are currently under full renovation. The balcony has hooks for hanging a hammock. (Highly recommended ;)
The spruce trees seen in some older photos outside the window were cut down, unfortunately. I didn't realize to take a full set of new photos before the renovations started, and thus I'm using some old ones. There are 2 newer photos that show the current view from the windows.
There's space for a double bed, and the kitchen can be closed as a separate room with a sliding door, so this apartment is suitable for a couple as well.
The flat is otherwise unfurnished, but there is a kitchen table and two chairs. (Those can be removed if you want to bring your own.) Some photos have other furniture that is not included in the rent, and is added to the listing only for the purpose of illustrating better the size and possible use of the spaces.
The rent includes heating, electricity, and Internet connection (10Mbit/s with wifi, paid upgrades possible). This means you don't need to negotiate any of these contracts yourself. Water fee is 21€/m/person.
Home insurance is required. No smoking inside. No pets. An advance deposit is required (two months' rent).
