I am subletting a fully furnished studio apartment in Alppila, Helsinki. 26 m2, comes with a kitchen and bathroom. The rent is 650 euros per month + electricity, water usage is included in the rent. The apartment is available from January 1st until May 31st, but the dates can be negotiated (I’m flexible to end the contract on April 30th already, if that’s better for you).
The apartment has two big windows that provide lots of natural light, hardwood floors, wide windowsills, a high ceiling that creates space in a lovely way, and a spacious bathroom (you won’t have to shower sitting on the toilet seat, like in some studio apartments in Helsinki). The building has a laundry room that you can use free of charge.
There is a tram stop right in front of the building, Sörnäinen metro station is within 10 minutes walking distance, and the metro will take you straight to Aalto University campus. There’s two big supermarkets within 5 minutes walking distance, and within a 5 minute busride you’ll reach Pasila train station, where all airport trains stop. Helsinki city centre is a 15 min tram ride away.
The apartment is close to Helsinki Central Park and Töölönlahti Bay, both popular destinations for various outdoor activities. Alppila is right next to Kallio area, which has a lot of trendy restaurants and going out possibilities, yet Alppila itself is a much calmer area to live. The apartment building is calm and quiet and the neighbors are friendly (a few of them also have cute dogs that they let you pet if you ask them).

I have loved living in this apartment that is for some reason extremely cheap for its condition, size and location - the owners of the apartment are this cute old couple who I suppose don’t feel the need to rent it for more expensive than this. I’m currently working elsewhere in Finland, which is why I am subletting the place until I get back.
